Murder Mysteries

The escape room packages offered by @Home Escape Rooms have a recommended player maximum of 8 people. If you are looking to host a larger ADULT group for parties or team-building events, perhaps a murder mystery event would suit your numbers better. These events last for 1.5 hours, and @Home Escape Rooms facilitates each stage so that the game runs smoothly and correctly. Based on your party size, you can choose from the game options below.

How Murder Mysteries Work

Murder mysteries are partially-scripted games where participants are given a basic character outline, detailing potential costumes, accents, mannerisms, and relationships. On the day of the event, players arrive in costume and in the mindset of the character. The Game Master will give players an objective card to start the game, which gives each players tasks that need to be accomplished, secrets to be disclosed, and information to be sought. Halfway through the game, one of the characters will be "murdered"!

Thus the second half of the game begins - the murdered character will continue game play, but as a new character assigned to solve the mystery. A second set of objectives will be distributed, and characters must try to ferret out information in order to solve the crime.

At the end of the game, evidence will be presented, and every player has a chance to make their guess as to who the culprit is. @Home Escape Rooms facilitates every step of the game, from the introduction, to the murder, to the big reveal. We organize the characters, the objective cards, the props, the solutions, and the awards. All you have to do is show up and play!
